ULT Management Board plants over 100 silver firs for climate protection
ULT fulfills environmental commitment with tree planting
On April 3, 2023, ULT upheld its commitment to environmental sustainability by planting 120 trees in the UNESCO biosphere reserve of the Oberlausitz heath and pond landscape in Germany. This initiative materialized from a pledge made at the 7th ULT Symposium held in May 2022.
ULT's tree-planting initiative served as a cornerstone of the symposium's climate-neutral ethos. This commitment to sustainability demonstrated ULT's unwavering commitment to environmental stewardship, emphasizing the company's role in safeguarding the planet's well-being.
Alexander Jakschik and Dr. Stefan Jakschik, CEO of ULT AG, are happy about the campaign: "s a company, we have set ourselves an ambitious goal to achieve climate neutrality by 2030. This tree planting initiative is a crucial component of our sustainability efforts, as we aim to contribute meaningfully to climate protection. Additionally, we want to send a powerful message to other businesses: climate protection is a shared responsibility, and manufacturing companies, in particular, have a responsibility to lead by example.”
The tree planting endeavor highlights ULT's dedication to fostering a greener future. By cultivating trees, ULT contributes to the preservation of natural ecosystems, enhances biodiversity, and promotes air quality enhancement. These trees will play a vital role in absorbing carbon dioxide, mitigating the effects of climate change, and promoting environmental sustainability.
Fulfilling their commitment to environmental responsibility, ULT's tree planting campaign marks a significant step towards a more sustainable future. By supporting sustainable practices such as tree planting, ULT is actively contributing to a healthier planet for future generations.
Dr Stefan Jakschik and Alexander Jakschik, board members of a medium-sized manufacturer of industrial air purification and drying systems, ceremonially planted the first saplings. The remaining young trees were carefully placed in the ground during the following days.
